Job Description

Temporary post until 30th September 2022

The University of Wolverhampton has been part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to establish a ‘Science in Industry Research Centre’ (SIRC), at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park.   The SIRC project supports small companies (SMEs) based in specific areas of the West Midlands to carry out research and innovation projects in the fields of Biotechnology, Polymers and Life Sciences, in collaboration with specialist staff and resources in the Centre.

You will be responsible for furthering the research carried out in the SIRC centre, including delivery of short research collaboration projects with SME partners and supporting the development of junior researcher staff.  You will work in the SIRC team alongside specialist project, technical and academic staff within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

We are looking for an individual with a relevant PhD qualification who can bring specialist knowledge and research skills that are complementary to the work of the SIRC centre.  You will be someone seeking to develop your research career, but clearly motivated by achieving research impact and effective knowledge transfer.
